Job Description

We are looking for someone to own the front end of everything The Design LLC publishes: the marketing site, the documentation, and the component library both are built from.

This is a build-and-maintain role rather than a project role. You will inherit work that is already live, and the first month is mostly reading.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the marketing site and the component library behind it.
• Work from design files with the studio that made them, not from a specification.
• Own performance budgets and hold releases to them.
• Review front-end work from the rest of the team.

Required Skills

• Five years writing production HTML, CSS and TypeScript.
• A record of shipping accessible interfaces, and an opinion about why.
• Comfortable with a static site generator and a component framework.
• Able to read a design file and ask the right question about it.
